Doctor claims that bunion-friendly shoes may help prevent cancer
David Agus, M.D., is the author of a new book titled The End of Illness, in which he purports that preventing deadly cancer may be a simple matter of consistently treating the body well – i.e. eating healthy meals at the same time each day and wearing comfortable shoes.
The latter, Agus says, can reduce inflammation in the body, as reported by the Daily Mail.
“Certain kinds of inflammation have been linked – in multiple studies – to our most troubling degenerative diseases, including heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease, autoimmune diseases and diabetes, and can dramatically increase cancer risk,” Agus said, quoted by the news source.
Indeed, research does indicate that chronic inflammation can lead to serious illnesses, a notion supported by the editorial board of the Mayo Clinic Health Letter.
